The latest-generation fleet for ambitious development

The Marine Services activity combines offshore oil and gas support services and coastal protection. The division has a dynamic policy of medium and long-term contracts for a comprehensive range of services and its latest-generation fleet is ideally suited to meet the specific requirements and demands of the most demanding oil and gas clients.

Bourbon Offshore’s substantial capacity for investment, technical and technological know-how, and highly experienced personnel enable it to provide a flexible response to the fundamental revolution that is taking place in offshore oil and gas businesses. Our vessels incorporate an increasing array of innovations and can respond to market requirements for traditional offshore operations (to a depth of 200 meters) and deepwater offshore (to a depth of 3,000 meters).

The Marine Services activity is benefiting from an ambitious investment plan; 144 vessels are on order. These investments will enable BOURBON to strengthen its position in new continental offshore vessels, a market characterized by an ageing and obsolete fleet, and maintain its position in deepwater offshore, where BOURBON is ahead of the field having made substantial investments under its previous strategic investment plan. The objective of the BOURBON 2015 strategic plan is to achieve average annual revenue growth of 17%.

2007 saw a very satisfactory increase in revenues, reflecting the increased number of vessels in operation and an expanded client portfolio. Contracts were signed with new clients such as the national operator PTTEP in Thailand, Murphy and Talisman in Malaysia, and Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia.

BOURBON also strengthened its business with the supermajors Total, Exxon, Shell, and BP, and the national companies Pemex and ONGC.
