With a wealth of experience on the IMR market, Bourbon Offshore Gaia has well-reputed expertise in engineering for IMR projects on operational oil fields.
- Modern efficient IMR support vessels to support subsea and surface operations
BOURBON designs and provides latest-generation IMR vessels, customized to the specific requirements for ultra-deepwater Inspection, Maintenance and Repair operations in oil fields.
- Subsea robots (ROV) operations for subsea maintenance operations
With the acquisition of the Italian ROV operator DNT Offshore, an Italian company recognized for the professionalism of its crews and quality of its fleet of robots, BOURBON has bolstered its expertise and boosted its Subsea Services.
Horizon 2012
To support the growth of the Subsea Services Activity and strengthen the existing fleet, BOURBON has ordered 19 new IMR vessels, including a series of 10 units of a GPA 696 design specifically adapted to this type of operation. The Horizon 2012 plan also includes investment in a fleet of subsea robots, which will be increased from 7 to 21 units between now and 2012.
Recognized experience
BOURBON has been present for several years in Africa in the market for Inspection, Maintenance and Repair of offshore subsea oil facilities.
After 15 years’ experience on the market, the leading clients of Bourbon Offshore Gaia, which is responsible for the engineering of IMR projects on operational oil fields, are Exxon, Total, Chevron, and Shell.
With engineering, installation and maintenance contracts once fields are on stream, like those signed with Exxon and Total in 2007, BOURBON confirmed its place as one of the leaders on the IMR market in West Africa on the majority of the region’s offshore deep fields.
